Rihanna confirms Super Bowl performance rumors
There had been speculation all Sunday afternoon, about whether or not Rihanna would be booked to perform at the upcoming Super Bowl. This is being held at State Farm Stadium, in Phoenix, AZ.
Sources close to TMZ initially stated that Rihanna and Roc Nation had been in discussions with the NFL about this performance. A second performer would also be added to the lineup. As of now, it’s still unclear regarding who that other performer would be.
Now, it appears that Rihanna will be part of this Super Bowl halftime show. She just took to her social media feeds to post a photo of herself holding an NFL football. Rihanna’s caption also simply included a period.
This is amazing news for Rihanna fans, considering that she’s been on a very long music hiatus. Her last project came back in January 2016, with her eighth studio album, “Anti.” Rihanna’s last appearance on a record was on PartyNextDoor’s “Believe It,” in March 2020. Rihanna has since been building an empire with her makeup and skincare lines, as well as giving birth to her first child, with A$AP Rocky.
