Much respect goes to DJ Khaled for being dedicated to the grind. When he was a popular radio DJ at Miami’s 99 Jamz, most would have accepted that and gotten comfortable. Even as Fat Joe’s official DJ, he kept working, when most would have accepted being in that spot.
DJ Khaled landed an executive role in Def Jam, gave Ace Hood a platform, and did We The Best Music Group. Soon, he left Def Jam and moved the label to Cash Money. Now, he has moved on to Epic Records as his new partner and Jay Z as his new manager.
Their partnership is coming into fruition with “I Got The Keys,” the second single from DJ Khaled’s Major Key album. The song also features Future and the video premiered during the BET Awards and is now available on TIDAL. It is also the Video of the Week on Hip Hop Vibe for this week.
