Titus Showers speaks on being a man of faith in the music industry
Titus Showers is a Louisiana native, so music is definitely in his blood. In a sense, he has “seen it all, done it all,” when it comes to the music. Not only has Titus Showers had success as a solo artist, but he has also had success as a member of a group. In addition, he is currently enjoying tremendous success, as a gospel artist. Even though Titus Showers creates gospel music, he is still working to sell music, commercially, within the music industry.
Titus Showers does his best to live life as a normal man. However, what he considers “normal” is not what most would. As a creative, Titus Showers is one of the hardest working men in his field. He understands that time waits for no one. As a result, he spends a lot of his time crafting music that he believes his audience will enjoy. Above all, Titus Showers makes music that he believes will be pleasing to the Most High, God.
Titus Showers broke down this process and his lifestyle, when he blessed Hip-HopVibe.com with an exclusive interview. During his conversation, he explained how things came to pass in his career, and how he navigates his life. First, Titus discussed originally being a part of a group before going solo, which he described as “hard, but welcoming.” After that, he spoke on dabbling in acting. Finally, he discussed his faith, and being a husband, father, and a Child of God.

You were originally part of a group, but went on to have a successful career as a solo artist. How was that transition, and what were some of the adjustments you had to make?
It was hard, but yet so welcoming. I had to adjust being alone and not having that support backing me up. I always knew this would transpire so I adjusted by preparing myself for the journey that I am on.
Outside of music, you’ve dabbled into acting. Was that a natural progression for you since artists are required to act in music videos, or was it something you’ve always wanted to explore in depth?
I found it to be a natural fit and yes it’s something that I want to continue exploring. Soon you’ll be able to see me in action for yourself and I’ll let you be the judge of that.
Louisiana has a rich musical history and is known as the birthplace of jazz. In what ways has that influenced you as an artist?
I find it soothing and it’s very therapeutic! It’s not much of an influence on my brand of music but music and genres all work together and I respect that.
Titus Showers is a Man of God, A Husband, Father, and an artist. What are some of the things you do to decompress when your schedule becomes a little too demanding?
I make sure I relax, talk to the MASTER, my wife and those whom I love. Deep breathing is a part of my everyday routine. It truly is a calming mechanism.
Your job requires that you travel frequently spreading the word of God through music. What is a typical “off day” for Titus Showers – if he has any?
No Days Off over here. I do love spending time with my family and friends. Attending sports event, going to the movies etc..
With all of your life’s personal and professional obligations, it can be overwhelming. Give us your go-to Bible verse to keep you disciplined and motivated on a daily basis.
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
Galatians 6:9 KJVHaving been on The Billboard Charts both as a group and a Solo Act, do you feel pressure to keep outdoing your previous accomplishments?
Yes it’s pressure but It’s welcoming. It’s welcoming because you want to continue to go higher and not settle for mediocre results.
