Tory Lanez denied new trial for shooting conviction
Tory Lanez recently filed an appeal of his conviction for his Megan Thee Stallion shooting trial, which concluded last December. The Toronto seller was seeking a new trial, as he believed that various factors were used against him, such as his music lyrics and gun tattoos found on his body. Tory also plead with a judge to not “ruin” his life over this case.
However, Tory has now been denied his request for a new trial, according to legal reporter Meghann Cuniff. This was done so by Judge David Herriford. As a result, Los Angeles prosecutors added that the evidence presented against Tory are “overwhelming” and the arguments that he should get another trial are “unfounded.”
“The defendant’s brief is replete with colorful rhetoric and conclusory statements, but it lacks substance. Despite being nearly 80 pages long, the defendant has failed to cite a single instance of error in the trial court.”
Meanwhile, Tory has also yet to officially be sentenced, as those were delayed multiple times, since January. His appeal played a role into that, as well. Tory May face as much as 22 years in prison. He was initially convicted of all three felonies, which included assault with a semiautomatic firearm, having a concealed and loaded firearm in a vehicle, and discharge of a firearm with gross negligence.

Good for the judge. Stand up for your daughters, wives, and mothers against those who target them for violence with malice and no remorse and no validation. Thank you judge and jury! Finally getting it right.
