Sometimes, no matter how much a person grows up, they never get over some of their childhood fantasies, whether it is a dream career, or even a crush. Nikita Penalosa had a dream growing up and it was to become a model. There are times when childhood dreams become adulthood realities and this is the case for Nikita Penalosa and her modeling.
Nikita Penalosa is a rising model, but is also well educated. When she is not making mouths water over her photos, she is working in mouths as a dental assistant. Based in California, North of Los Angeles, Nikita Penalosa is a rising star in modeling. Already making appearances in print magazines, Nikita Penalosa has built a large, growing, fan base.
Hip Hop Vibe had the opportunity to chat with Nikita Penalosa and she talked about how she wound up modeling. In addition to talking about her burgeoning career as a model, Nikita Penalosa talked about traveling to Hawaii and the dirty parts of her day job. Nikita Penalosa is definitely one of the most-interesting models establishing themselves.

With an established career, why did you choose to venture into modeling? Ever since I was a little girl, I was always approached with acting and modeling, my parents were a little strict with that and insisted that I finished school first. When I graduated as a dental assistant, I decided to chase my dreams.
What has been one of your greatest experiences when it comes to modeling? Definitely the opportunity to travel, I love traveling.
As a travel enthusiast, where are some of your favorite places to visit? I LOVE Hawaii, I recently went for the first time in October of 2012, I’ve been back for HIN Hawaii, and I am visiting again here in January 2013.
Coming from a multiracial background, what type of stereotypes did you have to overcome? That all Filipinos work in the medical field, even though it is a little true.
What are some of the dirtiest parts of your day job as a dental assistant? When people don’t take care of their teeth!
In what ways do you surprise people the most? People are surprised at how much time I spend working out.
Personally, what do you consider to be your best quality? My smile, I’m always smiling.
Who are some of your favorite hip hop artists? I LOVE Nicki Minaj, Frank Ocean, and Wale.
Would you be game to appear in any hip hop music videos? Oh yes! Hip hop artists Hit Me Up (laughs).
