21 Savage says Nas collaboration was in the works for a while

A few weeks ago, 21 Savage trending heavily online. This was due to making comments on Clubhouse about how Nas isn’t relevant anymore, but does have a solid fan base, and still has good music.

However, 21 and Nas ended up shocking fans this week, by putting out a song together, on Wednesday. This was “One Mic, One Gun,” as Nas went on to show 21 love, on Instagram.

“Nas x @21savage TONIGHT Only way we moving is with love, respect and unity. The foundational principles of hip hop. Excited to collaborate with my young brother and I hope more artist use turbulent moments and turn them into a time to make new art. That’s what it’s about.”

21 has also since spoken on Clubhouse, and revealed that he and Nas were planning to collaborate, for a while now. This was also before 21 made his comments about Nas.

“Me and Nas been talking about making music, on my kids. Way before all that other shit happened. We been, like, figuring out how we was gonna do a song before this, on my momma. I been had his number. He been telling me he was a fan of my sh*t. I been telling him the same thing before all this shit happened. That’s why he didn’t take what I said in no disrespectful way ’cause he knew what I was trying to say.”
