Jermarcus Johnson held on $300,000 bond in Young Dolph case
Last week, fans remembered Young Dolph, on the 1-year anniversary of his death. At the time, he was shot and killed in his hometown of Memphis. At the time, Dolph was purchasing cookies from Makeda’s Homemade Cookies. Two men opened fired into the business, as they saw Dolph inside. Makeda’s finally reopened last week, and celebrated with custom dolphin cookies, as well as playing Dolph’s music. Dolph was a frequent customer of Makeda’s.
Four suspects in Dolph’s murder case have since been put into custody. Last week, 25-year-old Jermarcus Johnson went on to be arrested. Tuesday saw Johnson make his first court appearance, in this case.
Johnson has officially been indicted on one count of criminal conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. As a result, he is now being held on $300,000 bond, according to Fox 13 Memphis. Johnson’s next court appearance is scheduled for December 16. Prosecutors state that Johnson “participated in the conspiracy, that he helped Justin Johnson escape afterward, and that he arranged payments to some of the defendants.”
The other suspects arrested are 24-year-old Justin Johnson, 33-year-old Cornelius Smith, and 43-year-old Hernandez Govan. Govan was the other latest arrest in Dolph’s murder case, as he was indicted on November 11. Smith and Johnson were reportedly who shot at Dolph. Justin is also Jermarcus’ half-brother. Jermarcus is said to have helped hide Justin and Smith after the shooting.
