Hernandez Govan indicted in involvement in Young Dolph case

Next week will officially mark a year, since the world lost Young Dolph. At the time, he was shot and killed while at Makeda’s Cookies, a popular business in his hometown of Memphis.

Two men went on to be arrested and indicted, in the murder of Dolph. These included 23-year-old Justin Johnson and 32-year-old Cornelius Smith. Each of them were hit with charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder. However, another man has now been indicted, for his involvement in taking Dolph’s life.

This man is 43-year-old Hernandez Govan, according to Fox 13 Memphis. He has been indicted on charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. Authorities stated that Govan was reportedly plotting on Dolph’s dead, in the months leading up to the shooting.

Shundale Barnett is also another man who is in custody. He was arrested earlier this year, but mistakenly released. However, a warrant has been issued again, as being an accessory to murder.

Dolph was regarded as one of the best rappers to come out of Memphis, and the south in general. He became one of the hottest rappers in the industry, while remaining as an independent artist, with his Paper Route Empire record label.
