A “concerned citizen and family friend” was reportedly who paid Takeoff shooting suspect Patrick Clark’s $1 million bond

Family friend of Takeoff shooting suspect paid $1 million bond

A few days ago, it was revealed that Takeoff shooting suspect Patrick Clark was able to post his $1 million bond. This comes after initially getting his bond reduced from $2 million. Clark was initially arrested in early December, by Houston police. At the time of his arrest, he reportedly had a large sum of cash on him, and purchased an expedited passport in an attempt to fly to Mexico.

Many have since wondered how Clark was able to pay off this $1 million bond, to be able to be released from jail. According to KTVU 2, a “concerned citizen and family friend” friend paid it off, who believes that Clark is innocent. Therefore, Attorney Letitia D. Quinones stated that Clark didn’t pay this off, nor a family member.

“Neither Patrick nor his family posted the bond in this case. A concerned citizen and family friend who believes in Patrick’s innocence posted the bond on his behalf. Like any other defendant, Patrick is presumed to be innocent and has the right to bond. He also has an obligation to comply with all the terms the court has laid out. He intends to comply fully and will appear for proceedings whenever the court requires him to do so. We believe Patrick is innocent and at the appropriate time, the evidence will reveal that to be the case.”

As a result, Clark’s next hearing is set for March 9. Takeoff was initially shot and killed in the early hours of November 1, outside of a Houston bowling alley. An argument between Quavo and a group of men ensued, over a heated dice game. Takeoff went on to be hit in the middle of the crossfire, in the head and torso.
