Two people shot in Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church
On Sunday afternoon, a scary situation arose inside Joel Osteen’s massive Lakewood Church in Houston. One woman opened fire inside of the church, as soon as she entered.
Moreover, according to CNN, this woman is said to have been 30-35 years-old, who was armed with a long rifle. Furthermore, a 4-5 year-old child was also with her at the time of the shooting. However, she went on to be found deceased, after police arrived at the scene. Currently, the child is in critical condition at a local hospital. A 57-year-old man also went on to be shot in the leg.
This shooting was confirmed by Houston Police Chief Troy Finner during a press conference. Lakewood is located six miles from the downtown area of Houston and is able to hold 16,800 people inside of it. This also use to be a sports venue where the NBA’s Houston Rockets played, in the 1990s.
