Active shooter in Midtown Atlanta leaves multiple people injured
Sadly, it seems as though nowhere is safe anymore. According to reports, people are dealing with stress and anxiety. While that may be true, people are more cruel these days. Cruelty has always existed, but people are more open about it now. In Midtown Atlanta, there is an active shooter. At a medical officer, a gunman has opened fire. As a result, there are a number of people who have sustained injuries.
Mass shootings have become so commonplace that they don’t always make the news anymore. In the year of 2023, there has been an average of one mass shooting a year. Despite this, there seems to be no urgency in limiting access to certain kinds of firearms. While the politicians continue to fight amongst themselves, the people are left at the mercy of the next person dealing with stress and anxiety.
Midtown Atlanta is currently shut down and they have a shelter in place order. As of press time, it is unclear how many people have been injured. The incident is taking place at 1100 West Peachtree Street Northwest. This medical office is a part of the Northwest Hospital facility. Officers on the scene are asking people to stay away.
