Adele lashes out at concertgoer who shouted “Pride sucks”
Adele, the Grammy-winning singer known for her powerful voice and emotional lyrics, took a stand against homophobia during her concert in Las Vegas on Saturday night. The incident occurred when an audience member shouted “Pride sucks” during one of her performances. With June being Pride Month, Adele was giving her support.
The British artist immediately stopped singing and addressed the heckler directly: “Did you come to my [expletive] show and just say that Pride sucks? Are you [expletive] stupid? Don’t be so [expletive] ridiculous. If you have nothing nice to say, shut up, alright?” The crowd erupted into cheers as Adele continued with her performance without further interruption from the offender.
This isn’t the first time Adele has spoken out against discrimination; she previously used part of a concert in London to honor George Floyd and protest police brutality against Black Americans. Her strong stance on social issues has earned her praise from fans around the world who appreciate artists using their platforms for positive change. In addition, she’s been dating the well-known sports agent, Rich Paul, for four years. He is the childhood best friend of LeBron James.
