Akon gets dragged on Twitter for insulting Black American artists

Akon normally flies under the radar, but he has made interesting comments about race, over the years. In spite of his Senegalese heritage, Akon was actually born in St. Louis. However, he represents for his home continent, which he considers to be Africa. Out there, Akon is still building his “Akon City,” among other projects. Recently, he did an interview with the ZeZe Millz show, where he spoke on everything regarding race.

Akon also has some interesting opinions about gender, which he often speaks on. Again, Akon is overlooked, so most don’t pay attention to him being the father of nine children. As a result, he is likely to have unique takes on gender and race. However, the comments that Akon has made about race have had fans on social media in an uproar. While he is a successful businessman, Akon has not been relevant with the music since 2008.

Akon did a lengthy interview with ZeZe Millz, where he discussed Nick Cannon. Controversially, he said he did not believe in being an active father, since he provides financially. He went onto describe a lot of active father duties as “White man stuff.” In addition, Akon has made comments about Black American artists, saying that African artists are more talented. As a result, the fans have had all kinds of insults towards him on Twitter.
