Being hit with a couple of lawsuits at the same time, 50 Cent had a unique response to the situation. Facing potentially $28 million to pay up in lawsuits, 50 Cent filed for bankruptcy. He went onto claim his net worth is only $4.4 million, as opposed to $155 million, like he previously claimed.
50 Cent has been in court all week and he went into court, claiming he never actually made any money from his deals. However, when he was asked to come with proof, he was unable to. Now, coming as no surprise, there is no sympathy from anyone over his finances.
Levonia Leviston’s attorney, Philip Freidin, mocked 50 Cent screaming broke with $10.6 million in the bank. While 50 Cent is offering to pay Leviston $700,000, based on his claims of lower earnings, Philip Freidin feels 50 Cent should be asked to pay an additional $15 million. This is due to 50 Cent claiming to be $20 million in debt, but giving $29 million to his various companies, partying in the strip club, and his bankruptcy not accounting for the $270 million he has amassed over the past fifteen years.
