Two years ago, August Alsina emerged and became one of the biggest current names in R&B. Delivering his first album in 2014, he is in the works of making his second LP. Even if he doesn’t release a new album, this year, August Alsina remains a force.
Co-signed by the likes of Chris Brown, August Alsina is making a lot of big things happen. Already known on a national level, August Alsina ended up meeting Beyonce and Jay Z. That moment had to be huge for him, probably growing up as fans of both.
It isn’t all celebrity stardom for August Alsina, however. He is still very humble and focused on giving back to his community. For those efforts, August Alsina was awarded the BET Homegrown Award at the 2015 BET Hip Hop Awards for his Black Lives Matter awareness.
