Every year, former President Barack Obama releases his annual summer and end of year favorite playlists. Oftentimes, Obama includes plenty of fan-favorite artists, which have many excited on social media. As a result, he has also just put put his Summer 2023 playlist. Last summer featured artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, Doechii, and much more.
In Obama’s latest summer playlist, he included artists such as SZA, Nas, Janet Jackson, Burna Boy, 2Pac, Marvin Gaye, and even Ice Spice, who’s one of the music industry’s latest breakout stars. Songs listed here featured “Snooze” by SZA, “Princess Diana” remix by Ice Spice featuring Nicki Minaj, “Sittin On Top Of The World” by Burna Boy featuring 21 Savage, and “Who Told You” by JHus featuring Drake.
“Like I do every year, here are some songs I’ve been listening to this summer — a mix of old and new. Look forward to hearing what I’ve missed.”
As a result, fans in Obama’s Instagram comments praised his summer playlist, as usual. These replies even saw fans congratulating artists for being recognized on a major platform like that, by the former president.
