Justice was served for George Floyd and the whole world was watching. Almost a year after the horrific murder, the jury found Derek Chauvin guilty of all three charges. Now, the former police officer is on his way to prison.
Many people have offered their take on this situation. Most people, with a heart, have expressed their pleasure in Chauvin being sentenced to prison. However, there were those trying to make “hot takes.”
Beyoncé offered a compassionate response to Derek Chauvin being sentenced to prison. Never mentioning the disgraced, murdering, officer by name, Beyoncé instead shifted all focus to George Floyd. She called it “a good day,” while encouraging people to pray for Floyd’s family.
