On Friday, Beyoncé finally delivered her highly anticipated seventh studio album, “Renaissance.” This was led by her smash hit “Break My Soul” single, which was initially released in June. Beyoncé also made her announcement for Renaissance, at that time.
Renaissance contains 16 tracks in total, as fans praised every single one, as being hits. They also enjoyed the impressive transition from one song, to another. Tracks such as “I’m That Girl,” “Church Girl,” and “America Has A Problem” are already fan favorites, online.
Now, Renaissance appears to be on its way towards a huge first week, in sales. According to Chart Data, it is aiming for a number one debut, on the Billboard 200 chart. Renaissance is expected to sell between 275,000-315,000 units, in its first week. This would also be the first number one female album, of 2022. Currently, Bad Bunny’s “Un Verano Sin Ti” album has had an impressive current run, with the top spot on the Billlboard 200.
Renaissance would also be Beyoncé’s seventh straight number one solo album. Every solo album of her career has reached this mark. Prior to Renaissance’s release, it had been a very long time, before Beyoncé’s last solo album release. The previous one came way back in April 2016, with “Lemonade.”
