Many viewed Big Sean as 2011’s biggest new artist. A lot of talk has gone on about Kanye West and his skills as a record executive. While G.O.O.D. Music has been around as long as the world has known about Kanye West, it did not play much of a role. Kid Cudi had success on the label in 2009 and Big Sean opened doors.

Big Sean’s success led to the offer from Def Jam to distribute the entire label. Kanye West agreed to this deal and it has been smooth sailing since then. Seeing the success of both Young Money and Maybach Music, G.O.O.D. Music began working on a compilation album that Big Sean confirmed.

Last year came Cruel Summer and Q-Tip promised Cruel Winter. There has been a lot of back-and-forth over this album. One member of G.O.O.D. Music will confirm the album, while the other will deny it. When Big Sean stopped by Vlad TV, he revealed he was simply “unsure” about the album.
