Right now, things are bittersweet at G.O.O.D. Music. Big Sean is one of the biggest rappers in the game and he is preparing to release his sophomore album. Relaunching his second album, Hall of Fame, Big Sean released his “Switch Up” single with Common. This new single coincided with Kid Cudi’s departure from the label.
In several interviews, Big Sean has been asked about Kid Cudi leaving the label. From the start, Big Sean diffused any thoughts of conflict when he referred to Kid Cudi as his brother, detailing a time when he gave him his Jesus piece. But, Big Sean’s “Switch Up” single seems less than brotherly.
MTV News recently talked to Big Sean about the “Switch Up” single. There are some who feel Big Sean took shots at Kid Cudi on the song. Big Sean explained this to MTV News and he said the new song is not taking shots at anyone, but he said the timing of the single release makes it look malicious.
