It’s sad that a person on the job has nothing better to do with their time than hurl insults. As far as the world has come, moments like these show the world has much further to go. A mother and her nineteen year old daughter went to Chick-Fil-A to enjoy a meal. However, as they received their meal, the person who gave it to them urged the women to check out the receipt. On the receipt, the woman’s daughter’s name was a racial slur, as opposed to the name she gave them.

Nyiashia Jackson, age nineteen, and her mother went to Chick-Fil-A, like millions of people do. Even though there are long lines, people definitely feel as if the food is worth the wait. However, there isn’t any sane person willing to wait in a long line to spend their money, and be insulted. This is what Ms. Jackson experienced, for no reason. When she finally arrived to receive her food, the young woman found herself insulted for no reason.

After giving her name to the Chick-Fil-A workers, Nyiashia Jackson and her mother received their food. The worker who handed them the food suggested they check their names. Nyiashia saw her name replaced with the “n-word.” As a result, her mother was livid. She called the restaurant out and is taking legal action. In turn, the franchise operator has issued an apology, and launched an investigation into what happened. Jackson wants the employee responsible fired.
