Lil Meech avoids charges in airport arrest for firearm possession
Last month, “”BMF” actor Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory got into some more legal issues. At the time, he was arrested at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. This was due to carrying a 9MM in a carry-on bag, at TSA.
At the time, the bodyguard did tell TSA that it was his. However, that claim wasn’t believed, due to Meech being the one who put his bag onto the scanner. However, according to TMZ, Meech is now avoiding any charges.
Attorney Bradford Cohen went on to state that he presented “indisputable evidence” to Broward County prosecutors, to prove that the firearm wasn’t Meech’s. This included the purchase receipt, gun case and permit for the firearm. Meech and the bodyguard also reportedly had similar luggage, which contributed to the confusion.
As a result, the Broward County State Attorney’s Office isn’t filing the misdemeanor charge, as initially planned. This is due to “the facts and evidence available in the case and the statements made by [Lil Meech] and his employee.”
Meech is also currently a star on the Starz hit series “BMF.” Season 2 of the show premiered on January 6, as Meech plays the role of his father, Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory. Big Meech had previously been one of the biggest drug dealers out of Detroit. A third season was also renewed, this week.
