Bow Wow is often the target of unfair disrespect, due to some of his actions. When people begin with the jokes, they overlook the facts. All before his eighteenth birthday, Bow Wow had some of the biggest hits in history. During that time, Bow made hits with Snoop Dogg, Jermaine Dupri, Chris Brown, Fabolous, and an endless list of others. As a result, during the BET Awards, he was asked why hip hop hasn’t topped Billboard in 2023. His answer was simple, the game lacks originality.
Bow Wow is disrespected too much on social media. The way people make jokes about him, it’s almost as if they have forgotten what he contributed to the game. It’s because of Bow Wow that children have succeeded as rappers. In his career, Bow Wow made chart-topping hits, and was selling gold and platinum albums. The wildest fact about Bow Wow is that he managed to make all of his major contributions before he turned twenty years old.
Bow Wow did an interview on the red carpet of the 2023 BET Awards. Among other things, he was asked his opinion on why no hip hop songs have hit number one on Billboard. Echoing what many hip hop figures have said, Bow Wow said the rappers aren’t original. In addition, he said that none of the music is original. All of the rappers look the same and sound the same. That said, Bow Wow said there is no reason for people to really be into hip hop music, right now, until originality comes back.
