Eight year old boy helps raise money to help his favorite Waffle House worker to buy a car

Boy raises money to help Waffle House worker buy a car

Not every fast food report is a bad report. Quite the opposite, in Arkansas. With this being a Waffle House, this is an especially heartwarming story. So much of the news is all about division, but this one is about unity. An eight year old boy loves going into Waffle House, in Little Rock, Arkansas, so he can see Devonte. Not only is Devonte a server at Waffle House, he is this little boy’s friend, and his favorite server. Real life caught up with Devonte, so he needed help buying a car. This little boy stepped in.

Devonte became friends with the little boy, whose name is Kayzen, after serving him breakfast almost every morning. Quickly, the two developed a bond. When people form a bond, they begin to learn a little bit about each other. Perceptive, young Kayzen noticed that Devonte either walked to work, or had to catch a ride with someone. With that being said, Kayzen picked up on that Devonte needed a car. As a result, he went to work.

Kayzen decided to set up a GoFundMe in help of his friend, Devonte. When describing Devonte, Kayzen said he was dedicated and hard-working. It turns out, Devonte is married, and the father of two young children. Devonte saved up enough money for a decent priced car. However, mold in his home forced him to reallocate those funds to fix that. So, Kayzen helped set up a GoFundMe to get Devonte a new car, and move into a new home.
