Bills’ Damar Hamlin in critical condition after collapsing on field

A very scary moment ensued on Monday Night Football, between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals. In the first quarter of the game, Bills Safety Damar Hamlin suddenly collapsed, after tackling Bengals Tight End Tee Higgins.

As a result, the game between the Bills and Bengals in Cincinnati was postponed. That came after players from both teams were visibly emotional, and both head coaches met to speak about the situation. Therefore, both the Bengals, Bills and NFL decided to postpone the game.

At the moment, reports state that Hamlin has been hospitalized, and is listed in critical condition. Jordan Rooney, his marketing rep, has since taken to Twitter to reveal that Hamlin’s vitals are back to normal and they have put him to sleep to put a breathing tube down his throat. Tests are also being ran.

Bills vs Bengals was one of the most highly anticipated NFL games of this season. Both are two of the most dominant teams in the league, as this matchup helped determine playoff positioning. It’s unfortunate that this game eventually resulted in the horrific situation for Hamlin. Hopefully, he is able to make a full recovery soon.
