Cam’ron pays tribute to late mother on Instagram
Cam’ron is recognized as one of the most iconic rappers to emerge from New York City. In the 2000s, he soared to stardom with Juelz Santana and Jim Jones, as they had major success as Dipset. Cam also had a very successful solo career, in the post-Dipset era. However, in 2021, Dipset also went to get together to participate in a legendary Verzuz, against The Lox.
On Sunday, Cam’ron went on to reveal that his mother passed away on February 9. In an emotional post to Instagram, he reflected on the type of person that his mother was, as well as some fond memories of her. That included when she tried to et her friends into Cam’s concerts.
“So I’m so sad to inform you guys of her passing. I wasn’t going to share this because I’m in a lot of pain and Didnt think it was anyones business, But thinking about it, I really wanted to thank you all for making my moms days and nights for the last decade or so. Social media was her go to for, entertainment, news, general gossip etc. She would send me anything she thought I should know, about me or not, good or bad. She also had friends on here she fight me about.
