For whatever reason, people continue trying to write Cardi B off. But, these same people may have forgotten, or are too young to remember, that Chingy had a three-year run. That is no disrespect to Chingy, but he is another artist often unfairly written off.
Cardi B came into 2018 and began dropping straight hits. Aside from being on Bruno Mars’ “Finesse,” she dropped “Be Careful,” one of the first hits of the summer. After this, Cardi B dropped “I Like It,” her second song to top Billboard Hot 100.
With the summer almost over, Cardi B has dominated two straight summers. Now, she holds a top distinction over every other artist in music, again. Cardi B is the only artist to sell over 500,000 copies, or more, on at least three singles, with them being Bruno Mars’ “Finesse,” “I Like It,” and Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You.”
