It’s been a week now since Cardi released her highly anticipated “WAP” single featuring Megan Thee Stallion. Fans approved of their sexual content on this record and the music video was praised as well. Notable cameo appearances were noticed such as Kylie Jenner, Normani, and Mulatto.

WAP is on pace to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 100 chart and now, it’s already received a certification by the RIAA. It is now gold after selling over at least 500,000 units, according to Chart Data. This was also Cardi’s first single since “Press” in the summer of 2019.

With the immediate success of WAP, many fans are now hoping that Cardi releases her sophomore album before 2020 is up. It’s already been over two years since her debut, ‘Invasion of Privacy.’ That project has since gone 3x platinum in the US.
