When Rick Ross announced the MMG tour, fans were excited and began purchasing tickets for the events. Artists lined up to figure out how to be opening acts for the tour. However, not everyone was thrilled about Rick Ross and Maybach Music coming to their cities.
Members of the Gangster’s Disciples in Chicago and Charlotte publicly threatened the popular Miami rapper. Gang members from each faction said if Rick Ross came to their city, he may not make it out alive. Last week, Rick Ross cancelled his tour, leading many to believe he bought into the threats.
Earlier today, Rick Ross made it clear this was not the case. Instead, the business was not up to par. Now, the Chicago Police Department is looking into the threats made toward Rick Ross. The gang members said it was nothing personal, but Rick Ross owed a great deal of money to them, which he laughed off.
