In 2021, Chloe Bailey began to kick off her solo career, as she soared to even more stardom. She was part of the group Chloe x Halle with her sister, but also wanted to tap into more solo records.

In fall 2021, Chloe released her first solo single, “Have Mercy.” That went on to peak at number 28, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Have Mercy also quickly got to a gold certification in the US, as Chloe also performed this single at various award shows.

Now, Have Mercy has reached another milestone. According to Chart Data, it has now reached platinum eligibility, in the US. This comes after selling over 1 million units.

Chloe is also planning to release her solo debut album, as well. She recently revealed that this would be self-titled. As of now though, there is still no official release date for it. Last month though, Chloe did put out her new “Surprise” single, which she initially previewed on TikTok.

Chloe’s last project released was with Halle, as this was their sophomore, “Ungodly Hour,” in the summer of 2020. That contained their breakout hit collab single, “Do It.
