Chris Rock is preparing to fully address the Will Smith slap for the first time. He has a standup routine he is going to do. Currently, Chris Rock is testing out jokes he is going to use. For those who may have forgotten, Chris Rock indirectly made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith at last year’s Oscars. As a result, Will Smith walked on stage and hit Chris Rock in the face. Since then, Will has offered numerous apologies. Each have been rejected by Rock. Now, Chris Rock is preparing his new standup show, and is reportedly considering a joke about Will’s new movie, Emancipation.

Chris Rock and Will Smith were actually friends, before the Oscars. However, some have said they have had tension that dates back to 2016. Before all of that, Chris Rock made one of his first TV appearances on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” As most know, Will Smith executive produced the sitcom, “All of Us,” years later on UPN. That show’s co-star was none other than Chris’ younger brother, Tony Rock. For years, Will and Tony Rock shared a friendship. Obviously, that ended after the Oscars incident.

Chris Rock has indirectly made jokes about Will Smith since the incident. In turn, Will Smith has focused on rebuilding his life and his career. Some of Smith’s film projects were placed on hold. However, his newest movie, Emancipation, has been released. Not only is the movie successful, it has been met with incredible reviews. Reportedly, Chris Rock is going to review the show with his standup routine. Rumors suggest he will joke about enjoying watching Will getting whipped.
