Coolio’s official cause of death has been reported as fentanyl overdose

Coolio reportedly passed away due to fentanyl overdose

Back in September, Coolio suddenly passed away, at the age of 59. At the time, he was at a friend’s house in Los Angeles, as he was found dead inside the bathroom. His friend reportedly initially noticed how long it was taking Coolio in the bathroom, and that’s when he went on to check on him.

As a result, Coolio was pronounced dead at the scene. At the time, it was suspected that cardiac arrest was what caused his death. However, Coolio’s son went on to claim that it was as a result of a heart attack and asthma issues.

Meanwhile, TMZ has now reported that the official cause of death of Coolio has arrived. This was reportedly due to a fentanyl overdose. Traces of heroin and methamphetamines in his system were also factors. Family spokesperson Jarel (Jarez) Posey confirmed this latest development. Posey added that Coolio’s severe asthma and decades-long use of cigarettes couldn’t fight off the effects of this dangerous drug.

Therefore, documentaries will also be on the way, to honor Coolio. The Compton rapper initially soared to fame in 1995, with his “Gangsta’s Paradise” single, featuring L.V. That reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
