In Kansas City, Kansas, there is outrage after a man wound up forced to the ground. Taking things a step back, the man purchased a frozen pizza for $2. However, shoplifting is not uncommon, so the officer on duty accused the man of stealing the pizza. As a result, the officer took physical action against the man. In doing so, the officer ignored the man telling him he paid for the pizza. After that, the officer forced him to the ground and began squeezing his neck. Meanwhile, the man tried to produce his receipt.

The past decade, plus, has seen officers of the law become more brazen in their treatment of the people they’re supposed to protect and serve. As a result, people are increasing less trustful of the law. After all, there are reports of officers abusing their power and hurting people every day. That said, people are doing their best to stay safe from the ones who’s sworn duty is to protect them. Needless to say, this man in Kansas City did not feel protected.
