Damar Hamlin transfers to Buffalo hospital from UC Medical Center

A week ago, Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin almost lost his life, while playing the game he loves. He collapsed after making a tackle on Cincinnati Bengals Tight End Tee Higgins, several second after getting up, from making the tackle. While laying on the field, Hamlin had to be resuscitated twice.  This was all as a result of suffering from cardiac arrest.

Thankfully, Hamlin’s progress has been very positive, as he began communicating by writing, late last week. However, he also soon began actually speaking with others, and even got on FaceTime with Meek Mill and Michael Rubin.

As a result, the good news for Hamlin continued, heading into this week. He is being transferred from UC Medical Center, to a local hospital in Buffalo. Hamlin took to Twitter to take everyone for the overwhelming amount of support, and said that this is all bigger than football.

Damar being released from UC Medical Center was also confirmed by Dr. Knight and Dr. Pritts, to TMZ. In Buffalo, further testing will be conducted. Hamlin was able to be transferred, due to improving to “fair” or “good,” in terms of his health.

“Headed home to Buffalo today with a lot of love on my heart,” Hamlin on Twitter. “Watching the world come together around me on Sunday was truly an amazing feeling. The same love you all have shown me is the same love that I plan to put back into the world n more. Bigger than football!”
