Derrick Milano wins Grammy for credit on Beyoncé’s “Renaissance”
Beyoncé is currently one of the biggest trending topics in the entertainment industry, following her three Grammy wins, on Sunday night. Bey also made history by winning the most total Grammys of all-time, following her third win of the night.
One of the wins was for Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” album, in the category of Best Dance/Electronic album. There were plenty of key contributors on this chart-topping project, including the songwriters and producers. One of them is Derrick Milano, who has established himself as one of the biggest songwriters in the industry.
On Renaissance, Milano helped co-write “Summer Renaissance,” which became a fan-favorite. This record also sampled the late legendary Donna Summer’s 1977 “I Feel Love” single.
This latest win for Milano now makes him a 4x Grammy winner. His resume has been iconic itself, as he’s also had songwriting records for records such as Nas’ “Brunch On Sundays” featuring Blxst, DJ Khaled’s “Bills Paid” featuring Latto and City Girls, Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” remix featuring Beyoncé, Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hot Girl Summer” featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign, Nicki Minaj’s “Yikes,” and more.
