DJ Khaled announces new music with Drake and upcoming album
DJ Khaled and Drake have been longtime collaborators, over the past 11 years. During this span, the two have created major singles since as “I’m On One,” “No New Friends,” and “Popstar.”
Now, Khaled and Drake are back in the studio together. Khaled took to Instagram on Monday night, to post a photo with Drake, as new material was being created. Khaled also revealed that he’s working on a new album.
“They didn’t believe in us, DRAKE DID!!!!!! @champagnepapi ALBUM MODE ITS SPECIAL, VERY! My brother @champagnepapi ! 🦉🔑”
Last spring, Khaled delivered his 12th studio album, “Khaled Khaled.” That went on to be another number one for Khaled, as it was led by one of the biggest songs of 2021, in “Every Chance I Get,” with Lil Durk and Lil Baby.
Drake also has a lot of momentum, right now. Last week, he released his surprise dance album, “Honestly, Nevermind.” That project drew some criticism, due to Drake exploring that genre, but that is still on pace to be Drake’s seventh straight number one studio album.
