Doja Cat says she doesn’t want to do any more pop songs; Is focused more on rap even though she says she knows they’re “mid and corny”

Doja Cat says she doesn’t want to do pop songs anymore  

In 2022, Doja Cat didn’t get to perform much, due to undergoing tonsil surgery. She found out that they were infected during the weekend of the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas. As a result, Doja had to cancel her upcoming festival performances, as well as opening up during The Weeknd’s “After Hours Til Dawn” Tour.”

However, Doja is now speaking on Twitter, about what type of music she wants to release, moving forward. This comes after revealing how many songs she plans to have on her next album. Doja wants to put out more rap songs, despite acknowledging that many of them are “mid” and corny. Therefore, she also added that she’s not interested in doing any more pop records. Doja responded to a fan, and said “Pop isn’t exciting to me anymore. I don’t wanna make it.”

“I also agree with everyone who said the majority of my rap verses are mid and corny,” said Doja. “I know they are. I wasn’t trying to prove anything I just enjoy making music but I’m getting tired of hearing yall say that I can’t so I will.”
