Doja Cat’s “Need To Know” has solo female rap song streaming record

Doja Cat has emerged into one of the biggest artists in the world, over the past two years. She’s scored a number one single, with “Say So” remix, featuring Nicki Minaj, and had one of the biggest albums in 2021, with “Planet Her.”

One of the hit singles that appeared on Doja’s Planet Her album last summer, was “Need To Know.” That record went on to peak at eight, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Now, Need To Know has reached a new streaming milestone.

According to Chart Data, Need To Know is now the most streamed solo female rap song of all-time on Spotify. This was one of he the lead singles, heading into the release of Planet Her. Planet Her debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 chart, and spent three consecutive weeks, at that spot. On YouTube, Need To Know’s video also has over 221 million views.

Doja also recently revealed shocking news to her fans, as she needed to get tonsil surgery. Her tonsils got infected before the Billboard Music Awards, as she now has to cancel her upcoming festival performances, as well as appearing on The Weeknd’s “After Hours Til Dawn Tour.”
