Doja Cat’s “Planet Her” makes history with 6 billion Spotify streams 

Since 2020, Doja Cat has been one of the biggest superstars in the music industry. That year saw her break out with her “Say So” single, as the remix went on to feature Nicki Minaj. As a result, that quickly became Doja’s first number one single in the US, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

In 2021, Doja also went on to put out her their studio album, “Planet Her.” That project debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart, and remained in that position for three consecutive weeks. Planet Her was led by hits such as “Kiss Me More” featuring SZA, “Need To Know,” “Get Into It (Yuh),” “You Right” featuring The Weeknd, and more.

Planet Her continues to dominate in 2024, as it has now reached another major milestone. According to Chart Data, it has now surpassed 6 billion Spotify streams. Therefore, it becomes the first album by a female rapper to reach this milestone. In addition to this mark, Planet Her also became the most streamed album by a female rapper, in Spotify history.
