The service industry is really going through it, right now. Fast food is going through its own problems, as workers and customers are often at odds. However, the whole service industry is finding itself going through various troubles. The employees are frustrated. In turn, they are taking their frustrations out on their customers. Recently, a Door Dash worker had a meltdown at a customer’s door.
The main driver in salaries for the service industry is tips. After all, most workers do not earn much of an hourly wage. So, it’s important for the workers to be as friendly as possible and to do their best possible job. However, there are some service workers that either don’t do a good job, or that come in expecting a tip. When the ones who expect a tip don’t get it, they become a different kind of person.
A person ordered Door Dash and when the worker arrived, he was expecting a tip. For whatever reason, the person did not leave the guy a tip. As a result, the man became very angry, using all kinds of explicit language. He began banging on the door and speaking in a threatening tone. However, he ultimately ended up walking off, referring to the customer as a “loser.”
