Drake loses $400,000 after betting on Jake Paul
Drake is a known betting man, as he even has an ownership stake in the betting platform, Stake. He’s put massive bets on latest NFL games, which included the AFC and NFC Championship Games, as well as the Super Bowl. He won $2.1 million due to the Chiefs winning the AFC, but lost $850,000 while betting on the 49ers to take the NFC. But, Drake did win $700,000 by betting on the Chiefs to go on to win the Super Bowl. Even with taking some major betting losses, Drake still continues to place high wagers.
However, Drake has taken another betting loss, on Sunday afternoon. He initially bet $400,000 on Jake Paul to defeat Tommy Fury on Sunday. As a result, Fury ended up defeating Paul, which came from a split decision.
Drake initially had Paul winning as a result of a knockout. This was also Paul’s first loss, in his professional boxing career. This fight took place in Saudi Arabia, as fans in the United States watched, in the early afternoon.
Drake is also expected to be venturing on a world tour, this year. This comes after recently saying touring is what he’s looking forward to the most, in 2023. In 2022, he scored two number one albums with “Honestly, Nevermind,” and his joint album “Her Loss,” with 21 Savage.
