Drake gets backlash for liking Tory Lanez’s statement on Instagram

On Friday, Tory Lanez officially released a statement, in the aftermath of him being sentenced to 10 years in prison, earlier this week. This is in regards to him being convicted in December, of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in July 2020. As a result, Tory maintained in this statement released on Friday, on Instagram, that he’s not apologizing for the charges in this conviction, as he still believes that he was wrongfully convicted.

Meanwhile, anyone that supports Tory online right now is receiving a lot of backlash. This includes Iggy Azalea and Mario right now, who wrote letters of support for Tory, to the judge in the sentencing.

Furthermore, Drake is also catching heat on social media. This is as a result of him “liking” the statement that Tory released on Instagram. Both he and Tory are Toronto natives, but have never released any music together.

However, Drake has yet to address this criticism against him. Currently, he’s still venturing on his “It’s All A Blur” Tour with 21 Savage, which kicked off in June. The nexts how will take place inside the Kia Forum in Inglewood, CA, on August 12. Four straight shows will be held at that venue.
