At this point, it makes no sense to root against Cardi B, because she’s hot right now. The first time around, Cardi B had the element of surprise, with “Bodak Yellow,” and she topped Billboard. But, her series of scene-stealing features almost became expected.
Before “Finesse” even fully died down, Cardi B saw “Bartier Cardi,” her own single, become a hit. While it has enjoyed a strong radio run, she returned to VH1 to premiere the video. In between, “Be Careful” dropped as another single, that’s slowly becoming a hit.
This morning, Cardi B issued no warning, as she dropped “Drip,” featuring Migos. Much like their previous feature, this song is well on its way to becoming a hit. As the song has dropped, Twitter is all over it, saying this song is “fire,” crediting Cardi B for “going off,” and for overall killing sh*t.
