While there are many Bay Area artists who have gained success in hip hop, all of them look up to E-40 and Too $hort in one way or another. The two rappers have a combined fifty years invested in the rap. Few duos have a combined legacy that can match up to the one held by E-40 and Too $hort.

Frequent collaborators over the past two decades, E-40 and Too $hort decided to team up for their new album, The History Channel. This year, both rappers have made major headlines. Too $hort landed in hot water for a statement he made with XXL on Valentine’s Day, meanwhile E-40 released a triple album back in March.

Now, E-40 and Too $hort have announced their album will be released on November 6 and there will be two releases. The two discs released will be Function Music and Mob Music, which will be released on November 6. E-40 and Too $hort have enjoyed an impressive run and their joint albums solidify their joint legacy in the game.
