Even with his longtime girlfriend, Emily Bustamante, being on the VH1 series, “Love & Hip Hop,” Fabolous is not a supporter of the show. Originally, VH1 had pitched a reality show to fellow New York rapper, Jim Jones. The show was supposed to be titled “The Family Jones.” When Jim Jones turned the series down, VH1 approached his girlfriend, Chrissy Lampkin, and the show was changed to “Love & Hip Hop.”
Following an impressive first season, VH1 quickly renewed the series for a second season, adding Emily Bustamante, Fabolous’ girlfriend. Despite all of this, Fabolous revealed he was not a fan of the show. While he said he was not trying to diss the show, the Brooklyn rapper said he could not support the show. With that said, fans should not expect to see Fabolous on the show any time soon.
Earlier this year, Fabolous and Jim Jones got into a Twitter beef. Since 2009, Fabolous has been one of hip hop’s most prominent tweeters. In the eyes of many, a full beef had emerged between the two rappers, but they quickly put their differences aside and began working together, again. Jim Jones has also been reluctant to work with VH1’s new series, despite the participation of his family and even himself.
