In the next few days, Fabolous will release The Young OG Project, which is his new street album type project. The announcement of The Young OG Project coincided with Fabolous revealing he signed with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. With new management, Fabolous is looking to make some bigger moves with his career.
Fabolous is revisiting the golden era of hip hop with The Young OG Project, openly theming it after the 1990s. Unlike the other projects he has ended past years with, Fabolous is looking for something different with this tape. He has a lot he is putting into this new project and there is a lot of anticipation for it.
DJ Self and DJ Superstar Jay recently hosted Fabolous on their Shade 45 show. In the interview, Fabolous talked about the theme of The Young OG Project. He spoke on how diverse the ten years of the 1990s were and why he is focusing on pushing this album digitally, as opposed to having CDs.
