All sports are highly emotional, for all of the people involved. This is especially true for the players, who have the true emotional investment. While professional sports definitely has its moments, children’s sports is where it really goes down. Recently, a flag football game saw things get very intense. A coach got upset and had to be calmed down during the game. When he was walking it off, he walked over to a parent on the sidelines and punched him in the face.
The first rule of sports is sportsmanship, even though few athletes ever fully practice it. But the number one rule of sportsmanship is always to remain kind to the opponent. Even though its a competition and everybody plays to win, everybody is playing the same game. Above all, the game is supposed to be respected. However, some rivalries do wind up going too far, and some of those rules go overlooked. But it’s never supposed to go as far as this guy took it.
When the video begins, it shows a children’s flag football coach going off. Several adults are trying to calm him down and keep him away from what looks like the opposing team’s coach. An educated guess says the game isn’t going the way coach would like it. As a result, he needs to be calmed down. He seemingly calms down. After that, he walks over to one of the parents, and sucker punches him in the face, causing the man to fall. The video has gone viral on Twitter.
