Floyd Mayweather announces exhibition fight in Dubai will be on May 21

Last week, it was announced that Floyd Mayweather’s exhibition boxing match vs his former sparring partner, Don Moore, was postponed. This was supposed to take place in Dubai, as the postponement was due to the passing of UAE President, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Following the postponement of Mayweather vs Moore, a new date was being worked on. Now, Mayweather has just revealed on Instagram, that the rescheduled fight will take place on May 21. It will still be in Dubai, at the Burj Al Arab hotel. Mayweather also revealed that UFC legend Anderson Silva, will be fighting on the undercard.

Mayweather’s last fight took place last June, which was another exhibition match. That was against Logan Paul, at Hard Rock Stadium, in Miami. This lasted eight rounds, and was set up to have no winner. On December 31, 2018, Mayweather defeated Tenshin Nasukawa, in Saitama, Japan. Mayweather’s last professional boxing match that counted towards his 50-0 record, was vs MMA star Conor McGregor, back in August 2017, in one of his most anticipated fights..
