Future has fastest 2x platinum 2022 collaboration with “Wait For U”
Future scored another major hit record for himself, in 2022. In April, he released his “I Never Liked You,” and contained the track “Wait For U.” This included two huge features from Drake and Tems.
Wait For U went on to debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, along with I Never Liked You debuting at the top of the Billboard 200. Wait For U is also platinum in the US. Future soon released the deluxe edition for I Never Liked You, which included even more huge features from Lil Baby, Lil Durk. 42 Dugg, and more.
Now, Wait For U has achieved another quick milestone. According to Chart Data, it is now 2x platinum in the US. This now makes it the fastest collaboration, to achieve this mark. Future and Drake collabs have done extremely well, as they’ve worked together ever since Future’s 2011 “Tony Montana” single.
Tems has also soared to stardom, in the music industry. She’s become one of the biggest artists to come out of Nigeria, and is a clutch feature, as well. She appeared on Wizkid’s breakout “Essence” single in 2020, as well.
