Future’s “I Never Liked You” album goes platinum

Future has had another amazing year, after the success of his ninth studio album, “I Never Liked You.” This was released in April, and had one of the biggest records of the year. This was with “Wait For U,” featuring Drake and Tems. That record is also the most streamed song of 2022, on Apple Music. The album and this single have since both gone on to be nominated for Grammys. Future also collaborated with Kanye West, Lil Durk, Gunna, Young Thug, and more on I Never Liked You.

However, Future has reached another huge milestone, with I Never Liked You. According to Chart Data, it has just been certified platinum in the US. This comes after selling over 1 million units.

I Never Liked You went on to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. This marked Future’s seventh straight number one solo album. The 2023 Grammy nomination that this album scored, was for the category of Best Rap Album. Other nominees include  Kendrick Lamar for “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers,” Pusha T for “It’s Almost Dry,” Jack Harlow for “Come Home the Kids Miss You,” and DJ Khaled for “God Did.”
